While many other Hutu women and their daughters are paraded naked, raped and killed by the RDF/RPF army in the so called “Joint forces” in the Eastern region of the Congo, the rape survivors have their legs beaten then forcibly sent back to Rwanda .
“The Tutsi [Rwandan] soldiers accused me of being the wife of an FDLRcombatant, just because I’m Hutu,” said one woman who was raped by aRwandan army soldier in Remeka. “After they raped me, they burned my house”, saying it was the house of an FDLR.

Although thecoalition forces say they are open to sharing information with MONUCabout their campaign, such information-sharing has been scant and toolate to permit the UN forces to be able to plan for providing the neededprotection.
In November 2008, the UN Security Council authorized an additional3,000 troops for the mission to help carry out its mandate to protectcivilians. None of these additional troops have yet arrived.
