Quand un ancien officier de l’armée française salit la mémoire de son institution
Le Lieutenant-colonel (LCL) Guillaume Ancel était capitaine en 1994, lors de l’opérationTurquoise à laquelle il a participé dans une unité de la Légion étrangère. Dans son ouvrage intitulé Rwanda, la fin du silence, tout juste édité aux Belles Lettres, Guillaume Ancel se livre à une attaque en règle de l’armée française qu’il accuse de collusion avec le pouvoir en place qui fut responsable du génocide des Tutsis.
En réponse, le général d’armée (2s) Bruno Dary, président de La Saint-Cyrienne, a souhaité réagir en déplorant une mise en cause injuste des militaires ayant servi lors de l’opération Turquoise. Il conteste la version des faits avancée par le LCL Guillaume Ancel et souligne le caractère pour le moins étrange de cette publication, survenant 24 ans après les faits.
